Virginia Commonwealth University (Accounting Marketing)
I am a Certified Public Accountant graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BS in both Accounting and Marketing. Although we all have our individual talents and interests, the mind is infinitely powerful in its capacity to learn. The number one key to success in any endeavor is confidence, and so the first thing I want you to learn is to believe in yourself. There is nothing in the material we will cover that you cannot master. Life is filled with challenges. Overcoming this one will make all those that follow all the easier to meet. I can’t make dry material fun if you don’t like the subject matter, but together I think we can make the learning process enjoyable.
Teaching is satisfying on a personal level. Your knowledge and talents are best put to use by sharing them with others. From substitute teaching to hosting training programs through my employment, I have looked for opportunities to help others through my years as a student and as a professional. Whatever your goals are, I wish you the very best.

I truly believe you missed your calling as I have mentioned before. You are the most patient person I have ever met when it comes to getting your point across and making it easy for someone like me to understand. I do not know what I would have done without you during these last two terms. Thank you for being there for me.
Mark is a really great tutor. He would help as much as he could and really knows how to explain accounting principles.
My son struggled during the second term in 7th grade honors math. Contacted Mark, my son's grades improved from a D back to a B+. Mark's easy going personality put my son at ease, he actually looked forward to working with Mark.
Mark B is great! He doesn't make me feel stupid and he works with me on my schedule. Very happy that I found him.
I needed help learning Excel for an assignment I had in graduate school. I have really never used Excel. In about an hour, Mark had taught me the skills I needed to do my assignment and to learn Excel. He is very organized, methodical, and focused. Definitely an excellent tutor.
I am a student at Averett University majoring in Business Administration! Mark has tutored me with two classes, "Accounting for Managers and Principles of Accounting". Before I started my sessions with Mark, I wasn't doing too well in either class (totally stressed). After my first session, I was amazed!! I say amazed because things I thought I would never understand in accounting, Mark helped me to understand it all!! I became stress free, from then on I didn't have a doubt in mind that I wound not pass my classes!!! Mark's patience played a big part for me progressing. For example, I am a person who ask lots of questions and easily to get frustrated, so I definitely needed patience! Mark showed me that he was there to help and that truly put me at ease!! At the end of my classes I passed them both and gained knowledge!!
I graduate on December 10, 2011!!! Getting so close to graduation makes me think what I would have done if it wasn't for Mark. I know there are other tutors but I could not have found a better person to help me!! He gave me confidence that I could do it!! Mark I can't thank you enough for all your help!!!!! I highly recommend anyone who's seeking help!!
Very patient! Great teacher, easy to follow and very Knowledgeable about excel. I learned some significant shortcuts that will save me lots of time.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
