My reasons for pursuing a career in teaching are numerous. Teaching gives me a sense of accomplishment, I love to learn and I love to transfer the knowledge that I have learned onto others even more. I have a master in Chemistry as well as a diploma in music. I taught Tonbak and Recorder in both public and private schools for more than six years in Iran; I’ve also been playing these instruments as well as some others such as Recorder Flute and Tanbur (Iranian traditional musical instruments) since I was 10. I also play all of the instruments in the Recorder family (Garklein, Sopranino, Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass) professionally.
I have published a book for Recorder. I am member of ARS (American Recorder Society), NVRS (Northern Virginia Recorder Society), AOSA (American Orff-Schulwerk Association) and SAA (Suzuki Association of the Americas). Currently I teach Recorder at an Academy in Sterling (Virginia).
I speak Farsi and English. I am very patient, diligent and love to teach. I teach thru example and practice. I strive to create comfortable environment for my student.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
