Hello I am a mother of 4. They are 18, 16, 12 and 7. I spent 11 years with the local police departments working with youth and instructing in various subjects. I have been a coach and trainer for softball and basketball for over 15 years. I currently work at Manassas Park High school in the special needs department. I am an assistant teacher in Biology, Algebra 1 and 2.
I received a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a Master’s in Business Administration while working as a police officer. I then decided to pursue a new career in education and I am currently enrolled at Liberty University working towards a Master's in Secondary Education.
I love encouraging and helping students find their inner strength. My teaching philosophy is to teach each student to believe in themselves and to know their learning style; they may learn differently but they can all learn! Hello I am a mother of 4. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
