My son had to take a college level Physics class for the first time this semester. He had not taken any related classes in high school and struggled with the teacher's teaching methods and assignments. Many of the assignments were lengthy and on material that was not thoroughly covered in the classroom. After some missed homework and bad quiz grades we solicited some help from Saami and almost immediately saw improvement in my son's understanding of the material, being able to complete his homework, and a "B" on his first test. The properties of simple objects, such as points and lines, are determined and a number of standard constructions are performed. Topics involving triangles, polygons and circles are considered before concluding with various three-dimensional figures.

The two main types are differential calculus and integral calculus.

Content in precalculus courses typically involves the expansion of previous material from algebra, geometry and trigonometry. Exponential and logarithmic functions receive particular attention because of their importance in calculus later.

Trigonometry is defined in OED as being the branch of mathematics dealing with the relations of the sides and angles of triangles and with the relevant functions of any angles.

Most trigonometry courses begin with the study of two ratios known as sine and cosine, and the quotient of these is another ratio known as tangent. The reciprocals of these three ratios produce another three ratios, and values for all six ratios are determined for standard points on the unit circle. Graphs of the ratios are considered, along with the use of the law of sines and the law of cosines.
