Georgia Institute of Technology (Computer Engineering)
Hello learners. My name is Brian and I would like to help you achieve your academic goals. I received a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. As a computer engineer, I am required to not just understand, but apply, mathematical solutions to a diverse number of problems. During my academic journey, I learned that the use of diagrams and easy-to-follow pictures can clarify complex mathematical concepts. I rely on this technique to help people master various mathematical concepts. As a teacher, I take pride in providing the best instruction possible so that each student can better understand how to solve and apply mathematics.

We are very happy with Brian, he's very helpful with pre-calculus and ap chemistry. She has a better understanding of the concepts they are learning in class. We reccomend to students who need help!
His knowledge of math is outstanding, and he is very patient and encouraging tutor. My son is looking forward to the next tutoring session.
Brian was very helpful. He was able to listen to what I was having issues with explain those concepts and show me how to work through them.
I was really struggling with statistics and while I had a B+, I wanted to maintain my GPA. Brian was super accommodating and explained things in terms easily understood. Statistics was like learning a foreign language, but Brian was able to teach me in a way that made sense for me. I highly recommend him!
I began seeking help from Brian in October of 2014 for some assistance with some issues that I was experiencing with learning C++. I was blown away by Brian's ability to explain difficult concepts with ease. His understanding of the logic and application of the C++ language is amazing. He is able to understand his students errors and explain the concepts in a way that leads you to the answer furthering your understanding of the concepts. I could not have asked for a better guide to furthering my study of the C++ language and I look forward to working with Brian in the near future.
Brian tutors my 9 year old son in computer science (college level). Not only is he very knowledgeable, he was able to quickly build a natural rapport with our son. Brian makes the material fun and easy to understand. There is a lot of laughter when they are working together. My son not only has a better grasp of the material, he also really looks forward to his time with Brian. Brian is flexible with scheduling and always responds very quickly to emails. Our experience with him has been nothing short of a pleasure! I highly recommend him as a tutor for any age!!!
I was very happy with Brian; he was very helpful with showing me how to do Chi-square stat using excels. This was my first lesson with Brian, and I gained a better understanding of statistics, how to use it in excel, how to insert the information into excel and how to choose the different type of chart and shapes for my graph. Brian is very knowledgeable, efficient patient and understanding of statistics. Brian helped me understand how to set-up statistics and learned the different structures of Chi-square statistics. I will recommend him to anybody who needs help with statistics, computer, or math. Brian is that tutor.

When I first met Brian, I did not know how to do statistics using Excel. After my second meeting with him, he shows me how I can do Chi-square statistics using Excel and patiently explaining the steps as I perform them. Brian is excellent and very knowledge in what he does. I now have the basic knowledge on how to do any statistics using Excel and I thank Brian for tutor me and showing me how to use Excel. This knowledge has helped me to go forward and complete my Capstone Project. Brian is the man if you are looking for a tutor that is passion in what he does and eager to make sure that the student learned it the first time, if not he will go over it and go over it until the student understand it and can perform the task. Thank Brian for teaching me to how to use Excel.
Excellent tutor! Highly recommended! Brian was flexible with times, which was great. He is very easy going and me feel comfortable asking questions.
Just after having my first lesson with Brian, I gained better programming skills and feel more confident in my course. He relates textbook data to real life scenarios. I am more of a hands on/ see example learner which Brian understands and accommodates well. I would recommend him to any of my colleagues as well as friends. If you are in need of math or programming tutor look no further.
Brian was very easy going and comfortable to be around. As it was our first lesson he jumped right in and got the ball rolling. We are looking forward to future tutoring.
Brian had a great rapport with my daughter and was flexible in meeting our scheduling needs. He was patient and provided detailed explanation for math problems and skills that my daughter struggled with. He tried different ways of explaining concepts until her found something that worked. In addition to providing her with tutoring specific to the problems on the math portion of the SAT, he also tutored her in test-taking strategies. My daughter is much better prepared to take the SAT now!
Brian is a great tutor! Very patient and explained the Algebra 2 lessons in a way that my son understood.
Brian is an excellent tutor for calculus. My daughter is now understanding calculus more easily and will improve her grades for sure. Thank you Brian and wyzant.
Brian is very dedicated to my daughter's understanding of geometry. He is always on time and very accommodating if schedules need to be changed. I would highly recommend him for your child.
Brian has been tutoring my son for several weeks now and I have noticed a difference not only in his grades but also his confidence! Brian has been able to explain math concepts to my son in a way that he can understand and apply. I have been so impressed by Brian's dependability and communication when it comes to my son.
Brian was very effective in helping my grandson with his math course. He understood the learning needs of his student and worked toward that end. Brian was able to develop a personal relationship and one of respect, this of course is important in the learning process. I can give Brian the highest recommendation.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have used this programming language through much of my first professional job as a Programmer Analyst. While there I used this language to help program credit card machines to do the necessary tasks of taking in entries, reading credit cards, and dealing with modem and IP connections.
With this programming language, I've taken a college course in to learn the different aspects of the language and what it can entail as far as what it can do. I also use this language when I program small applications for personal use. I've recently created an emulator launcher program that uses a GUI to interact with the user and the user can select which emulator he/she would like to launch. I even have options to run at system startup or run manual from the users request.
In my current full time profession, I use C++ as the programming language of choice to help program application and simulation programs that are used by the Naval Base. I've also used this within my 2 recent jobs as well where I've helped program GUI pages for a refrigeration company and helped another company create credit card application for their machines that will be sent to clients.
I've helped previous students in the area of proofs, theoretical computer science topics (i.e. algorithms, and computational geometry) and various theorems (i.e. the principle of the mathematical induction, set theory, and informational theory). I've also helped students with conversions from base 10 to binary (base 2), Hexadecimal (base 4), and Octal (base 8) and vice-versa.
I currently use this within my present profession as the primary means of communications between coworkers as well as clients. I've also used this with my two past employers as well.
