My name is Doctor Jerry. I have a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering, as well as a PhD degree in Computer Science. I take great pleasure in solving Math problems and engaging in Science projects. I have a firm belief that these areas are very important to all of us in our day-to-day lives. I particularly enjoy teaching math and science to both young and old students who are eager to learn, but have some difficulties with those subjects. This includes elementary school, middle school and high school students. It also includes high school graduates who are preparing for or attending college, or are just eager to learn more about the subjects, but may be struggling with some aspects of them. Having taken many undergraduate and graduate courses in these subject areas and applying the methods and techniques to practical problems, I have become very proficient in their use.
I have tutored a group of students in science projects at a local elementary school. I am willing to negotiate an hourly rate for a small group or for a block of 10 hours or more for a single student. I look forward to meeting with anyone who has an interest in obtaining help to master these subjects. Hi -

Hourly rate for a block of 10 or more hours is negotiable.
Jerry is the best tutor we have had. He is truly honest, knowledgeable and responsible. He is always punctual, and prepares the material ahead of time. He is positive and encouraging. Very supportive of the student, and very patient. At the same time, he really makes the student work in the subject, and results were noticeable right after the first class. He is very personable too! A people's person. He is very easy to talk to, and our child feels that she can ask him any question. As parents we feel that he goes out of his way to provide the material in the most professional way. A true gem!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
