I'm Pranav P., an 18 year old male who really enjoys learning and teaching math and science. While I have only been tutoring for 3 years now, I have tutored a wide variety of students, ranging from elementary school to high school students, with the majority of them being able to reach their academic goals.
For me, I love tutoring students because it gives me the chance to bond with students and incorporate their interests with learning. While it helps keep students engaged, it also provides me the chance to demonstrate the importance of learning. Personally, I prefer one-on-one tutoring because it allows me to completely focus on each student I teach.
I first became interested in tutoring when I was helping my fellow classmates in my computer science, physics, and calculus classes in high school. Subsequently, I joined a Math Peer Mentoring Program, which allowed me to tutor my fellow classmates during our free period. Later on, I interned at Forestville Elementary School, where I prepared elementary school students for their Math SOLs. Eventually, I decided to tutor students at local coffee shops from 2016-2018, where I tutored students in elementary math, Algebra 1 & 2, and SAT Math. In my freshman year of college, I joined a program called America Counts last semester, where I would help elementary school students with math.
While I have only recently became a tutor with Wyzant Tutoring, the choice to do so was because I still have a passion for tutoring, and Wyzant has given me the opportunity to carry out my passion. If you have any questions or want to schedule a lesson, please feel free to contact me.
