I learned Spanish growing up in Lima, Peru through the telenovelas that the maid watched at night, through ups and downs of mispronouncing words and sentences, and through parroting what my friends said. The easiest times of learning Spanish was through music, shopping trips to the grocery stores to barter food to lower rates. It was the best feeling in the world when I could have a conversation in Spanish without screwing up. I enjoyed the smiling encouragement of my friends.
I do not have a lot of experience tutoring a core subject.
I have worked as a Girl Scout leader for 2 years, working on girls' self esteem, team building, following through on long term projects.

My qualifications include: Spanish IB level- test score: 6, Spanish courses from college 199-304, and Spanish immersion from 2000-2002.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
