Current student at George Mason University (Marketing)
My name is Pareesa and I'm currently a senior at George Mason University studying Marketing with a minor in Japanese Studies. I took Japanese classes for all four years when I was a high school student and received a 4 on the AP Japanese exam. While in high school, I was a member of the Japanese Honor Society for two years and gained experience tutoring fellow students. During my senior year of high school, I took AP Japanese while also acting as a teacher's assistant for my Japanese teacher for her Japanese 2 class in which I assisted in grading homework assignments, created illustrated flash cards for classroom use, and assisted students with any questions they had in class. I have also helped a few of my friends who did not have the opportunity to take formal Japanese courses by tutoring them at home from a very basic level, so I am able to help you even if you are just starting your studies. Throughout my time at university, I have completed a total of 18 credits of Japanese, 6 of which I took while studying abroad in Tokyo for a semester abroad at Sophia University. I am very passionate about the Japanese language and culture and I'm always happy to help people with the same interests.
I believe that with my current skills in the language, I can offer help up to an intermediate level of Japanese (up to N3 level of the JLPT or AP level). Hello!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
