I am an experienced K-12 Special Education teacher and also an Adult Education Tutor. I have taught all subject-matter to prepare students for regular classroom lessons and for test preparation. I use a variety of teaching methods to address my student's individual leaning styles and preferences.

Many of my methods of teaching math involve practical examples and applications to real life problems. Concrete examples are better than abstract theory when one is beginning to learn a concept.
I have taught professional speaking techniques and certified hundreds of corporate executives through public workshops all across the USA and Canada. I focus on verbal and non-verbal communication skill building, and utilize video feedback to help you develop your individual and unique presentation style.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
