About Richard

I am a retired engineer in solar and nuclear energy, with real on the job math experience and therefore able to impart the practical value of the math subjects to my students. I enjoy teaching for the purpose of seeing improvement in confidence as well as knowledge. I teach with a smile and make the students feel positive about themselves. I look at my private tutoring is a form of mentoring, which gives students opportunities to excel in math and personal development.

Also I have experience tutoring ADHD and other special needs students, so I know how to be patient and properly control the pace for each individual's optimum learning. I believe in regular feedback and make the student feel confident in communicating with me. We can have this learning experience at your home or local library. It is very important for students to acquire confidence early on with math subjects for long term success through school with minimum of pressure.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
