Looking for project scheduling / Microsoft Project training or support? Then look no further! I am a professional Master Scheduler for the federal government supporting multi-million dollar, multi-year programs. So you can be confident that I am an expert in project scheduling and MS Project. If you have any doubts, just take a look at my reviews. I have worked with college students and working professionals with equal success! Let me tell you about the services I provide.
Training: Over the months of tutoring, I have developed an excellent training path for MS Project. It consists of three modules which are tailorable as needed. The first module typically takes an hour and covers some basic, critical project management processes that you absolutely must understand to develop a project schedule. The second module takes two hours typically and covers everything about MS Project to include setting up the file settings, calendars, schedule elements, task relationships, leads/lags, date constraints, custom fields, baselining the schedule, and the critical path. And the third module typically takes an hour to complete. This module covers how to create custom tables, custom filters, custom groups, and custom views. During this module, we work through these topics to create a custom view to update the schedule with actual project progress to see the impacts downstream. All of this is tailorable as needed. And I can cover any topic outside of these areas. These are just the ones that I regularly teach. And, you will get detailed materials after each session so that you can go back through the content at your own pace later.
Schedule Support: Maybe you don't have time to build or manage your schedule. Or maybe you just need a professional to 'fix' it. I can do that as well. This primarly applies to working professionals; not college students. I will not do any college assignments for students. But I will gladly provide first-class scheduling support to working professionals that need to build, maintain, or improve their schedules. I will simply bill you for each hour of support through WyzAnt just as though I was tutoring you. I have provided this service for several of my customers already with great success.
And now, let me tell you a little more about my credentials. As mentioned, I am a professional Master Scheduler for the federal government. I have a masters degree in Technology Management with a focus in Project Management and a bachelors degree in Information Systems Management. I am a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI) and I am Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Program Management Level III certified.
With my education and experience in project management/project scheduling, I can provide high-quality project scheduling training or support and take you out of the book and into the real world. So whether you are a student trying to get through your classes or you are a working professional, I can help. I look forward to tutoring you! Jason is truly an expert at what he does. He knows so much about project management and truly enjoys sharing what he knows ain't the subject using real life experiences. I am so glad I had the chance to learn from him and encourage anyone who needs help and wants to learn more about project management to take a lesson. Don't hesitate to sign up because you won't regret it. This is my first ever experience with Wyzant or any online tutoring session and it has far exceeded my expectations. I can't say enough on how this has helped me in my struggles to make sense of managing projects. I now have a new take on how to successfully manage any project that is assigned to me. Grateful to Jason always,
Jason was great. Was prompt with responses, and explained things really well. Patient when I asked questions, and went above and beyond what I requested for the assignment. Would recommend!
Jason is straight forward, experienced, and a great communicator. He covers the necessary practices, applies them to his real world experiences, and answered my questions which then customized the information to my situation. Exactly what I asked for and received.
How to set up MS Project subprojects and the value and the pitfalls for using them. How to set up, manipulate, and maintain and the coordination involved in each effort. It was an excellent presentation and lesson. I received my money's worth.
Jason completely exceeded my expectations. After a single two hour session, I have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of MS Project and I intend to have follow-up sessions in order to expand my understanding.
Very professional and true desire to teach and help. Very knowledgeable and experienced but can explain in layman terms. Will use again without hesitation. Highly recommend!
As someone who has never worked in project management or using MS Project, I came to Jason with little knowledge, he provided me 1st with comfort that it would not be as hard as I thought, then gave me step-by-step actions with explanations of how it would all tie together. He took initiative to look over my work prior to our session so that he could prepare and was kind enough to provide me with documentation to use after sessions. I highly recommend Jason and will be taking a full class from him in the near future. I was considered about applying for jobs, but now I feel more confident than ever. He is 1 of a KIND!
Jason is very patient and thorough. My first lesson began with the basics of breaking a project down into a workable plan prior to putting it into MS Project. I have learned based on information provided, that without a clear organized plan, the project itself will be incomplete and disorganized.
Jason understands MS Project and its scheduling functions and capacities inside and out. He's experienced, prepared and methodical in his teaching and provides his students with clear, concrete examples and lessons. I was able to fumble through my questions and he always heard what I was trying to get at and always clarified the matter. As background to the lessons he provided great resources and cited materials available on the web for further learning: I learned a lot in a short time.
Jason is very organized and logical in his sessions. He provides baseline information that can be built upon as his client is ready. He answers questions as they arise and can quickly adapt and respond to new material and examples from different cases. I have worked with him twice and will be back a third time when I am ready for more advance skills in Project.
Mr. Jason teachs me about how to collect the info from project software like view project summary, finding the critical path, checking the sensitivity and milestones. He is really helpful and I love the way he teachs. Great man. Thanks Jason.
Jason is an excellent tutor. He is a professional in the field of Project Management and has an invaluable gift of sharing his expertise with others. I felt like he really understood what I needed to learn. His lessons were clear, concise and inspiring.
It was nice to learn from someone truly invested in teaching. We discussed the formulas used to monitor and optimize project schedule and cost. He helped me better understand EVM, CPI, SPI and much more. I highly recommend Jason as he has a unique ability to communicate which is greater than to just educate.
Jason taught me how to set a project template, to include the following:
How to insert and hide columns
How to baseline a project
How to effectively use Gantt charts
Jason prepared a comprehensive introduction to project management steps and essentials. He also helped me pinpoint where I need to start to organize the projects for my company. He has provided templates for me to get started right away. I highly recommend him.
I contacted Jason for an assignment that was due the next day. Jason got back to me and started the session quickly. I was able to understand the assignment and complete it. I would definitely recommend Jason for any classes in Project Management. He has a lot of professional experience working in Project Management.
I'm blown away how on top of his game Jason is. Very knowledgeable and experienced. He brings real-life examples into every scenario. Excellent communicator. And very flexible with his schedule. He even made himself available for free after hours to work out our schedule and to talk shop. You can tell he truly loves what he's doing and it shows. I highly recommend Jason for anyone trying to learn project management or highly experience people already working in the field.
Jason work around his schedule to fit me in for a Sunday session. I had a project due Monday morning and he walked me through it step by step. Jason is extremely knowledgeable in his field. I feel I got a College semester's worth of information in just two hours. His detailed approach to teaching makes every second of your investment worth every penny. I highly recommend him.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
