ESL/ESOL,

ESL/ESOL

I have taught ESL/ESOL for over five years, both through Wyzant and by volunteering my time for community classes. What my students have taught me is that half their battle in learning English as a second language is finding the confidence to actually speak and use English, even when they can read it. My goal is to help you improve your English by working with you at the level that you in now, and to encourage you to feel more confident about speaking English, even if it just a little, so you can improve even more.
Latin,

Latin

I have 36 hours of professional development training for the North American Cambridge Latin series. Cambridge is an excellent reading method approach designed to get the student reading meaningful and fun Latin from the very first chapter.

I homeschooled my five children up through the sixth grade in Virginia. The hardest parts of homeschooling is how to navigate the varied curriculums and how to organize your household around the school day. I can help you evaluate curriculum and figure out what is best for your child(ren) and give you tips on how to organize your household around the schooling.

I successfully taught homeschool students phonics using R. Spaulding's "Writing Road to Reading." I believe a student's mastery of phonics will give them a lifetime of successful reading and spelling. A good phonics program does not have to be expensive!

World History,

World History

Students are often overwhelmed by the amount of material to be covered in a World History class, whether it be high school or college. I will teach you how to organize and learn the material required by the class. This requires a great deal of reading on your part, but if you learn to take notes well, and summarize as you go, you will find World History less overwhelming.

I have been quilting for 20 years. I can teach basic sewing machine skills and machine care, as well as basic pattern reading. I love to teach quilting techniques like English paper piecing and foundation piecing. I will walk you through the entire quilting project, which includes piecing, layering and machine or hand quilting. Sewing should be fun!

Great tutor

Sara is a very nice person and professional, she seem to have a very good experience dealing with students, she is always on time. She gave my son Hw to read and answer some questions and that was an important thing for me. She is helping my son also with his school assignments.I would definitely recommend her.

Very good

Sara is a very good tutor with fun ways to learn English. For example he plays this card game with my kid to prepare for S.A.T. My kid loved it so much we even bought the card game. She gives my kids weekly assignments for him which is excellent for my kid.
