Special Needs

Hard of Hearing

Hard of Hearing

For three years (2011-2014), I worked as a special education paraeducator at Flower Valley Elementary School in Rockville, Maryland, where I worked primarily with deaf and hard of hearing students. Depending on the students' levels, I worked in the mainstream classroom as well as the contained classroom. In the contained classroom, we focused on phonics and literacy, essential skills for deaf and hard hearing students. Furthermore, I myself am partially deaf and familiar with the particular needs of deaf and hard of hearing people.

Quick turnaround

The turn around time was really quick, and explained her comments when I didn't understand her feedback when it wasn't clear to me.
