About Nabeel

I've acquired an abundance of ample experience in quantitative classes such as algebra, trigonometry/geometry, pre-calculus, calculus (single and multi variable), and physics. I have earned a Bachelors of Science degree at Old Dominion University in civil engineering, henceforth, have been sharing knowledge I've gained.

In regards to experience, I have been tutoring friends, family, colleagues and classmates in these subjects for the past 4 years. My technique involves getting fully involved with each persons individual goals. If your looking to do well in a class, I'd like to take part in planning how to maximize your points and effectiveness. I will even get in contact with students professors to understand better how we can improve and what to expect in a class. I always try to be available on short notice for my students and am willing to provide remote assistance w/out charge.

I have the patience, will power, and faith that we will grasp to our fullest ability the subject at hand.
Thank you, and I hope to hear from you!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

Algebra 1 is very basic and easy to understand. In my experience, the students greatest obstacle is the negativity they have towards math. Understanding each section of the material will greatly help in the understanding of the next. The course usually teaches basic terms, polynomials, graphing, and variable equation word problems.

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 builds upon the first by adding more systems of equations with inequality number plotting and graphs, factoring polynomials, series, probability, variance/standard deviation of data, and matrices. Some of these sections are not necessarily building upon each other.

Calculus

A student who understands pre-calculus well should not have any problem with the new material introduced in calculus. The course will put algebra/trig/precalc capability to the test. The new material is, for the most part, new rules/equations for derivatives and integrals. The new material is easy to understand but hard to implement without good foundation in math

Physics

Calculus based Physics Starts off with Mechanics; consisting of Vectors, kinematics, forces, momentum, work and energy, rotation, gravity and fluid dynamics. The end of the first part finishes off with thermodynamics. The second part starts with waves and oscillations and begins electricity and magnetism. The topics are naturally cumulative and the skills from early sections carry over to the next. The Majority of the calculus involved consists of integrating and differentiating 2d and some 3d shapes.
