I am currently a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania. I have been tutoring since middle school, where I gave private one-on-one chess lessons to several younger children. Since then I have continued in tutoring both math and computer science (all classes) at a high school and college level. I am currently a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania. I have been tutoring since middle school, where I gave private one-on-one chess lessons to several younger children. Since then I have continued in tutoring both math and computer science (all classes) at a high school and college level. I also TA'd multiple computer science classes in my undergraduate program at the University of Alabama.
In high school, I received a perfect 36 on the ACT, a 2330 on the SAT (this was before they changed it) with a perfect subscore in math, and was a National Merit Finalist. I also got a 5 on the following AP tests: Calculus BC, Statistics, Microeconomics, European History, Comparative Government, and Environmental Science. In addition, in my senior year, I attended the University of New Orleans, and received an A in the following math classes: Calculus III (Multi-variable), Linear Algebra, and Discrete Structures. I continued to the University of Alabama, where I graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 gpa, receiving a major in Computer Science with a minor in math, in only two years.
I have multiple years experience in teaching math, both as a private tutor and as a teaching assistant. I have consistently excelled in all of the math classes I have taken, from high school to undergraduate, and now at a graduate level at the University of Pennsylvania, where I have maintained a 4.0 in all of my classes.
I am looking forward to helping you excel in your math classes, and ideally developing your "mathematical maturity", so that you grow to be comfortable and confident in handling your current and future math classes. In addition with math, I can also help with general "test prep" for ACT, SAT, AP tests, GRE, etc.
