My higher education has been at Pasadena City College (junior college) in California and at the Univ. of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA where I earned my B.S. in civil engineering degree. As a licensed professional engineer in California, I have used mathematics at a very practical level for best efficiency in civil and structural design engineering for about 30 years. I feel this has given me a strong background in the practical application (textbook and simplified methods) of all mathematics at levels up to calculus (my tutoring probably not strong in this subject). As a tutor, my strongest subjects are algebra and geometry with trigonometry, my second strongest subject.

I am a physically fit veteran and am married with 2 step-children (son and daughter) who are both married and have children of their own. My wife and I have lived in the Catalina area of Tucson, AZ for more than 5 years, and I attend Episcopal Church of the Apostles in the area.

I am open to discussion(s) with a student as regards my best ability to help them as a tutor.
