My son, a challenging student by anyone's assessment, dropped out of high school despite my pleading not to do so. I discovered Paul A quite serendipitously on WyzAnt and with Paul's help my son successfully navigated the GED. Paul was a great tutor providing my son with an organizational and cognitive framework which translated as success, on the part of my son, on the GED.
Paul was not only inspirational but provided a role model for my son that sometimes is difficult for a child, at this time in their life, to see in their parent.
I would give Paul a "triple A" rating as a tutor and would recommend him highly to those who are looking for an excellent tutor.
Mr A was able to connect with my son right away and my son enjoyed learning with him. Paul is very knowledgeable, and is a genuinely nice person. I was thoroughly impressed with him.
Paul was a great fit for our son. He obviously knows how to relate to kids and makes the sessions enjoyable. He helped refresh and refine our son's pre-Albegra/Algebra skills to boost his confidence going into the school year. Our son loved him.
I thank you for your response. I wish the best to you and the family.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
