I am excited to tutor you in STEM! I am a tutor of Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Mathematics at Piedmont Virginia Community College. I have a Bachelor's degree from the College of William & Mary in Physics and Environmental Science. I am excited to tutor you in STEM! I am a tutor of Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Mathematics at Piedmont Virginia Community College. I have a Bachelor's degree from the College of William & Mary in Physics and Environmental Science. In January 2022, I will begin studying Data Science as a graduate student at the University of Virginia. I am a course away from an Associate's degree in Computer Science from PVCC. Outside of tutoring, I serve as a Junior Software Developer, and enjoy exercise, the outdoors, and sharing with my family on their farm.

As a tutor of Physics at William & Mary, I sought to accompany my colleagues as fellow students and friends. As a home-school tutor shortly thereafter, I guided a seventeen year old student in applying the scientific method to model the position, velocity, and acceleration of a Pinewood-Derby car rolling down a ramp. We studied the scientific method and trigonometry, and designed and created an adjustable ramp and one- and two-point timers, from scratch. In my present tutoring of Physics at Piedmont Virginia Community College, I support students in relating to concepts as physically, fully, and carefully as possible.

I am an organized and detail-oriented professional who is familiar with many physical systems and most concepts and algorithms in traditional STEM education. In tutoring sessions with you, I will seek to understand your situation, needs, and goals. I will support you in recording your goals and plans and working toward fulfilling them. As we work with each concept and challenge, I will consistently remind us of the big picture, the importance of our work, and the tangible concepts at the core of our work. I will encourage us to stay organized and focused and to take one step at a time. I hope to offer enthusiasm, optimism, inspiration, and fun.
