As a high school teacher and private tutor for over 25 years, I have the experience and skills it takes to help students of all academic levels and abilities achieve success. The part of my job that I like the most is interacting with students individually and developing a relationship. I believe that students need to feel confident and comfortable knowing that I am able to help them achieve their goals along with their help. I place great value on a student's needs and learning style knowing that each person is different requiring a unique and individualized approach.
Some of the services I provide include speaking and writing practice, vocabulary and grammar instruction and practice, pronunciation and listening activities, as well as computer based activities providing immediate feedback. I can say without reservation that the students I work with improve their skills and learn valuable learning strategies which can help them become better independent learners.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
