I have attended Dabney S Lanchaster Community College, where I concentrated my studies in science and English related fields. I had a GPA of 3.0. I worked as a tutor there in both science and french.
I then attended Bridgewater College, where I majored in Biology and minored in English. I graduated from Bridgewtaer in May of 2009.
I have had classes in every aspect of science from chemistry to botany. I have also had classes in writing, literature and linguistics. I have had math from basic all the way to calculus and statistics.
I have had history of the world, America, Europe and music. I have also had several religion classes.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a license from the Virginia Department of Education to teach in Pre K through 6th grade. I have experience of more than five years working with children in this age range. I have been working professionally with children in this age range for over a year in the public school system.
I have had several classes on phonics. I work with phonics programs and curriculum everyday. I am certified to teach elementary phonics from the Virginia Department of Education.
I have worked at the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind since 2014. I communicate in sign on nearly a daily basis. I perform silent praise dances which are all done in sign.
