Throughout college I tutored highschool physics and biology. I also tutored my peers in college level biology, genetics, and cellular biology. I am an enthusiastic tutor and I miss teaching. I love trying to explain all the puzzle pieces within the living world until it finally makes sense. It is my passion and I would love to share my knowledge and help you succeed!

I work with and teach undergraduate students how to preform experiments in laboratories.

I have worked as a physics and biology tutor through out college.

I believe everyone learns differently and it is my goal to understand the best way to relay information for each student.
I strive to create study tactics that will be beneficial for maximum improvement.

I work full time but I am free weekends, and nights. I will work with you to figure out the best schedule for you! Contact me with any questions about my work experience, credentials, or schedule.

Looking forward to working with you!

I received a masters in Biotechnology from NYU School of Engineering where I learned about stem cell therapies, cellular and molecular biology, protein and drug design and genetics. After graduation, I worked at a pharmaceutical start up researching metabolic and immunology pathways of autoimmune diseases. Currently, I work at Virginia Tech guiding undergraduates in behavioral and computational laboratory work in mapping the pathway of thermoregulation.

Genetics

Genetics

I have used bioinformatics tools such as gene ontology and BLAST to find genes associated with thermoregulation in Drosophila based on RNAseq results. I have also used these tools to understand the effect of certain drugs on inflammatory pathways. I have created different genetic strains of drosophila for researching behavior and functional relationships to cold and warm sensing neurons. I have experience with PCR and western blot for genotyping various samples for gene presence and regulation. I have a Master’s in Biotechnology and a Bachelor’s is BioMolecular sciences.
