Heya! I'm Ron, a computer science major at Virginia Tech and I am very comfortable teaching SAT, SAT Math 2, and AP CSA. My high school SAT score ranks in the 99th percentile, making me an attractive candidate for schools and scholarships alike. I believe anyone can do well on the SAT with preparation and the right guidance. In high school, I tutored my friends on SAT math topics. One friend went from a 670 average math score to 790 average math score in under 2 months! Your options really open up higher scores, so think of the SAT as an investment into your future. I truly enjoy teaching others and seeing them succeed. Will you be my next success story?
I got perfect scores on both the SAT math and SAT math 2 subject test and so could you! My methods will help you blaze through those hard problems step-by-step to make sure you finish accurately and on time. For the subject tests, I can give you programs on your graphing calculator so you only need to type in some numbers and have the calculator do its magic. My aim for math is to do the least amount of work to get the correct answer. I was able to finish the math portion in half the allotted time and missed zero questions, while others around me were struggling to finish on time. My objective is to give you the skills to do the same.
You can't prepare for English like you prepare for math — there are not formulas to memorize and a definite answer to bubble in. In the SAT reading section, you need the know-how of what is being asked and how you would go about determining the best answer. You need a game plan and I got the knowledge to make sure you can develop one. In the writing (grammar) section of the SAT, it's memorization, memorization, and more... memorization. Did you know that if a sentence has the words "not only" it must be followed with "but also?" These nit-picky rules are what separates the good test takers from the extraordinary test takers. By the time you finished the SAT, correct grammar will be second nature to you.
