In May 2017, I graduated with an Associate's Degree in Social Sciences through a specialty program called Advance College Academy at my high school and am now currently attending Virginia Tech to major in Geosciences and minor in Green Engineering and Crop & Soil Environmental Sciences. At my high school, I was a member of multiple honor societies such as: National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (a Math Honor Society), Science National Honor Society, French National Honor Society, and Beta Club. At Virginia Tech, I was inducted into Sigma Gamma Epsilon, an Earth Sciences honor society, and invited to join Omicron Delta Kappa, a national leadership honor society. Being in these societies enabled me more access to spread my passion for learning to others through tutoring and arranging educational events.

As a part of Mu Alpha Theta, my obligation as a member was to uphold my membership by participating in educational math programs, arranging math sessions, and tutoring students in most high school math subjects such as: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and AP Calculus AB.

As for languages, I am fluent in Vietnamese and English, as well as proficient in French. Most of my tutoring usually consists of helping ESL math students who speak a variety of languages, so I am patient and understanding enough to spend extra time translating and explaining subjects.

Asides from those subjects, I am also knowledgeable and experienced in my music education. I started playing the flute at seven years old and continued throughout middle and high school. Having been accepted into County and District Band for four years in a row, I've also achieved titles such as Flute Section Leader for concert band and Woodwind Captain and Drum Major for marching band.

Every week, I would spend 3-4 days tutoring students year-round in a wide range of subjects to assist them in doing better in their classes or prep for their SOLs and exams. As an active tutor for my community, I am flexible with any learning style the student(s) may prefer. I'v
