About Mariah

I was recently accepted into the D.O. program of Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medical school and have a Bachelor's of Science, majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry, from Salisbury University in Salisbury Maryland. I completed a graduate certificate program in pre-medical sciences from VCOM in May 2017 and I have taken numerous biology, chemistry and STEM related classes with great success.

I hope to encourage students who are struggling with biology or general chemistry and improve their grades and confidence in these subjects. I can even give some great study tips for those who are struggling with successful ways to study. During sessions I like to encourage students to dive deeper than just memorizing or recalling information. I want to get each student to a level where they are able to explain the subject to me or someone they know with confidence. I also believe practice give success, so I like to provide practice questions throughout their study material so each student can apply what they are learning not just at the end when they take the test but throughout their studying.

I have taken Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2, Cell Biology, Immunology, Genetics, General Biology, Ecology, Microbiology, Nutrition, General Chemistry 1 and 2, Organic Chemistry 1 and 2, Biochemistry, Plant Biology, Biological Anthropology, Pathophysiology, throughout my undergraduate and masters certificate program.

Helpful Chemistry 1036 Tutoring

Mariah was super helpful with everything I had questions on. We had a two hour session and she came with tons of practice problems all with explanations and step-by-step guidance on how to solve them. She was also able to show me how to do several practice problems and homework problems that I had difficulty with. After our session I felt 10x more prepared for my test the next day.
