Hello! I am passionate about teaching and am dedicated to student improvement and learning. I am currently an adjunct professor at Radford University teaching psychology courses!
I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology. Though my degrees are in psychology, I really enjoy statistics.
I also have a minor in exceptional education, which includes training to work with children and adults with learning disabilities and differences.
In my graduate career at Radford University, I was a graduate teaching assistant and teaching fellow, instructing my own course on introduction to psychology and assisting in statistics and research methods courses.
In my undergraduate career at James Madison University I was employed by the university as a statistics tutor and was a tutor independent of the university. Although statistics is my specialty, I also love proof reading and tutoring other subjects, such as any psychology course, research methods, biological statistics, and writing! Hello! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I was a tutor for the science and math learning center at James Madison University as a statistics tutor, including students from all majors and applying statistics to many subjects for 2 years. I was a teaching assistant for psychological statistics for 2 years. Additionally, I have been a private tutor for statistics, tutoring across multiple majors. Finally, focusing my education on analytics in the workforce, I have an understanding and passion for psychometrics.
I truly enjoy writing research papers and technical papers. I am experienced in editing these papers for others as an adjunct instructor for a research methods and research paper course, as a TA for a research methods course, and through direct tutoring experience editing course assignments, research papers, research proposals, and research grants. I am most experienced with APA style, editing for grammar, Microsoft Word, and improving on being concise.
I have an Bachelor's and a Master's degree in psychology. Psychology is one of the subjects I am most passionate about. I have taught courses in introductory psychology, psychological statistics, the psychology of learning, and research methods in psychology. I enjoy psychological statistics and psychology of learning the most. However, almost any topic in psychology interests me and I love helping others understand psychology.
I have a minor in exceptional education from James Madison University. Course work in this included classroom management and professional collaboration, overview of autism spectrum disorder, survey of intellectual disabilities, issues in exceptional education, and sign language. I also have a concentration in applied behavior analysis.

I scored in the 98th percentile for writing on the GREs and have completed many APA style research papers and theory papers during my studies in graduate school. I am currently working on developing papers for publication and have spent the last year tutoring students in writing and proofreading.
