4.0 GPA and Math Competition Winner
I have a passion for Math. I have been teaching and tutoring part time for the last 25 years. While in college, I was on the Putnam Intercollegiate Math Competition team for 3 consecutive years, and won several math competitions. I had a 4.0 GPA in math as an undergraduate (graduating with more than twice the number of required credit hours in math). I also obtained a perfect score in Computer Science (20 out of 20) while a student at the University Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris, France. I...
I enjoy explaining math to others and sharing the excitement that I have about the subject.
I received perfect scores on SAT Math Level 1 (800/800) , SAT Math Level 2 (800/800), Praxis II Mathematics: Content Knowledge (200/200), and Praxis II Computer Science (200/200).
Besides regular math courses, I have taught problem-solving classes to prepare for Mathcounts, the Math League Contest, the Math Kangaroo Competition, the American Mathematics Competition (AMC 8, 10, and 12), the Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament, and the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) -- these classes prepare kids to go on the USA and International Mathematical Olympiads.
Alexis hasn’t set a schedule.
Our experience with Alexis was absolutely outstanding. My son was struggling with a higher-end math course in college, necessary for his curriculum, and laboring with a less-than-ideal professor. My son began sessions a few weeks into the semester, and they prevented what would otherwise have been a disaster. Alexis is a truly gifted individual, with an uncanny natural mathematical ability combined with the rare talent of being able to convey complex ideas in a manner that makes them accessible and understandable by the student. Additionally, Alexis is personable, punctual, meticulous in responding to contacts, and very easy to talk to. Should my son encounter difficulties in future courses, I know where we will turn. I would heartily recommend him as a Class-A, top-of-the-line tutor.Scott, 10 lessons with Alexis

Alexis helped me understand some difficult problems by breaking down the problems into simpler approaches. He emphasized understanding math concepts rather than memorizing formulas. Thank you, Alexis!Kelli, 2 lessons with Alexis

A very cautious dude and a very good lecture
During his lecture, we learned a lot of things about his C program. Even though it is long, we still made logic work for a short time. Detail fixing is excellent.David, 1 lesson with Alexis

This man rock's big time. Mr. Alex is an online dictionary of knowledge in Java. I was working with Java/Netbeans where I was attempting to complete the week 3 Lab. After reaching out to over 15 Instructors Mr. A.leix accepted, and it works well. I recommend Alexis any day.Paul, 1 lesson with Alexis
Alexis has helped me boost my grade in my Computer Programming class, and has helped in simplifying code that was previously complicated and confusing. With only two lessons, I have a much clearer understanding of reading and writing code. He is patient and ensures that you fully comprehend what he is teaching before it is used.Evelyn, 1 lesson with Alexis
