Hi! My name is Mital and I have a true passion for mathematics and science. I am also working at a well-known preschool and daycare as an Early Childhood Educator. Apart from my background in education, I am certified with a CDA (Child Development Associate). Tutoring has been a passion for me because I love to see my students succeed academically, and when their light bulbs go off when they first understand a concept that they were having trouble with.
I have been tutoring for 10 years now and have had great success with my students, ranging from elementary school to college-age, and non-traditional students. I began tutoring by helping other students in high school math. In college, I worked as a content tutor and tutored in a variety of math and science subjects, including general psychology, anatomy and physiology, and pre-algebra. I have also worked as a mentor and a tutor in after-school settings during homework sessions. The subjects I have tutored ranges from basic math, Pre-algebra, and elementary science. Currently, I have been tutoring online to students in elementary science, and anatomy and physiology.
My goal as a tutor is to make things simple for you, to help you learn and for you to get As. In my tutoring sessions, I try to understand what a student is struggling with, by asking leading questions, and break down the concept into simple and comprehensible statements. Afterwards, I encourage students to practice the materials independently after they have grasp the concept so I know whether they have fully mastered the concept. Throughout the sessions, I bring my experience, patience, and creativity to ensure a pleasant learning experience. Everybody learns differently, and I tailor my teaching to meet each student's needs, ability and goals.
