Many of my students have scored in the 99th percentile on both the SAT and the ACT, and now attend schools like Cornell and the U.S. Naval Academy. I have helped dozens of students boost their SAT scores by hundreds of points, and their ACT scores by as many as 5 points! These results come from hundreds of hours of experience breaking down SAT and ACT problems into simple, easy-to-understand steps. During my lessons, I use prompting questions to help students understand the steps they must take to solve problems on their own. I am able to quickly diagnose weaknesses in the areas of time management, reading, math, vocabulary, etc., and turn them into strengths though my guided practice exercises.

I worked as a professional SAT/ACT and Elementary Tutor for Huntington Learning Center before joining Wyzant. I have also guided students though the college admissions process. I have helped many of them improve their personal statements and application essays to reflect their stunning talent and persistent dedication.

When I do have free time, I would almost always rather be tutoring! Lessons with me are fun and engaging, and your student will become well acquainted with the feeling of success after the very first lesson. I am currently a licensed attorney and a 2017 graduate of BYU's J. Reuben Clark School of Law. During my time there, I was a lead editor of the Education Law Journal. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in April 2012 from Brigham Young University.

Anna helped me with both the SAT and the ACT. Before we started she asked me about my goals for each and what I wanted to achieve. I told her that one of the main things was that I wanted to only take each test once and get the score I wanted. Through Anna's patience and her test taking skills that she taught me I was able to finish taking my SAT and ACT after the first time. Each class she was enthusiastic when I learned a new concept or connected the dots and was very flexible with her schedule. Thanks to Anna I was able to complete my standardized testing earlier than I expected and achieve the goals that I told her at the beginning of our first session.

Incredibly effective teaching!!!!

Anna is by far one of the best tutors I have had in my entire life. She is so patient and her test taking tips helped me increase my score by 3 points with less than 5 lessons!!! She is able to pinpoint weaknesses and provide a comprehensive methods for students to follow that go beyond any style I have seen before. I would recommend 100%!!!!! Thank you so much Anna!!! :-)

Wonderful tutor

My daughter is really happy to have Anna as a tutor and reported that even after their first lesson, she felt more confident with the reading/English portion of the SAT. She helped her understand why the wrong answers were not correct as well as why the right one was correct. She also helped her with strategies for test taking that she found very helpful

Improved ACT score by 5 points!

Anna was an amazing tutor! She was engaging, her lessons were well thought out, and tailored specifically for my daughter’s needs. The lessons took minimal time for the amount of knowledge gained and my daughter’s ACT score increased from a 30 to a 35. It was money well spent. I couldn’t be happier with Anna’s ability to teach in a way that my daughter could learn and with the final outcome. I would definitely recommend her to others.

I'm a convert to online tutoring!

We were in need of a tutor for the ACT and had very limited options in our small town. We were very hesitant to try out online tutoring, but are so glad we did! Anna is very fun and brilliant. We had great successes with her. My daughter's ACT score improved to the desired level. We were greatly impressed with her flexibility with our schedule. We had issues with our ancient computer not supporting the video and Anna was patient and helpful with finding a solution. We highly recommend her for any tutoring needs you have. She is professional, but also helped my daughter feel at ease during sessions. Thank you, Anna!

Amazing tutor!

Anna is an amazing tutor who helped my identify my strengths and weaknesses to prepare for the SAT test. We worked hard on specific questions that I had trouble with until I could explain how to do them myself. I got to know the test very well, so when I went in to take it I knew exactly what to expect. She has memorable methods to analyze and answer questions in any of the sections, that I will even be able to apply to other non-SAT tests in the future! She was great at communicating what I needed to do to get my desired score, as well as taking my current knowledge and my drive into consideration. All of these things made her the perfect SAT tutor. -Hannah ('19)

Excellent prep for ACT

Anna worked with my son once a week for 2 months to prep for the ACT. She's extremely professional and easy going. Anna provided a study guide that helped Andrew with the sections that he's weak in, which is English. Anna is flexible with our schedule and always provide materials and feedback for Andrew to improve on. My son had a very good experience working with Anna, so we highly recommend her.
