Patient, personable, thorough
Dr. D is passionate about helping students and it shows in the way he teaches. He is kind and will review even the most basic concepts to help build a strong foundation for the material. He has been helping me with a graduate level intro biostatistics class and I have learned more from him that I have from my classroom sessions. He reviewed the material before our session and gave me notes and feedback afterwards so I could continue learning between our sessions. He breaks down even the most cryptic problems and concepts so that they're easily understood. He gave me confidence in understanding the material and my ability to move forward through the rest of the semester and even provided extra materials and tables that simplified the information. Besides being a wonderful teacher, he has a phenomenal sense of humor! I definitely recommend him for anyone that needs help in math.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor
Following my first session in biostatistics, after not having taking a math course in over 10 years, I wasn’t feeling optimistic, but after my first session with Chad I gained a little more confidence. He was very patient and made the topics I was having difficulty on, more simplified and easier to grasp... I really enjoyed how i was able to keep asking questions when I didn’t quite understand and how he was able to relate it.

Knowledgeable and great teacher!
Just had my first session with Dr. D! He was not judgemental with my stupid questions, clearly knows what he's talking about, and explained the material in a very understandable way. Would recommend!

Wonderful - Very patient and knowledgeable
I'm in a graduate level biostatistics course and struggling with the fundamentals after being out of school for about a decade. Dr. D was very patient with me as he reviewed the concepts of the course and helped me revisit some fundamental math concepts. I have a much stronger understanding of the material now, and I really recommend Dr. D as a tutor!

Would recommend to a friend
I was nervous coming into my first tutoring session because I generally felt insecure about biostats. Dr. D. was patient and knowledgable and created a comfortable environment where it was ok for me to say "I don't know." I left the session feeling more confident and ready for my next class. He also came prepared and wrote notes on his shared screen which was incredibly helpful, especially if you're a visual learner like me. I already recommended him to a friend in my class and scheduled my next session.

organized, thoughtful, and fun tutor
Dr. D tutored my son in AP statistics. He was amazingly well prepared and I appreciated that he asked questions about my son's performance, lessons, and textbook before their first session. He created a meaningful and useful first tutoring session getting the most out of the first session as possible. After their first session, my son said it was helpful, he liked how Dr. D was organized and teaches. I asked him if he couldn't wait for the session to be over or if he enjoyed it. He said he enjoyed it and could have stayed on longer. No exaggeration. I'm excited that we've found an awesome statistics tutor that my son's enjoys meeting with and learning from.

Provides a copy of the tutor session, helpful distribution tables, and clearly explains key biostats concepts.
We went over the topics: (a) Multinomial Experiments and Contingency Tables: Categorical Variables -Goodness of fit tests for multinomial experiments -Chi-square tests of independence/homogeneity for contingency (two-way) tables -Fisher’s exact test for small expected frequencies -McNemar’s test for matched pairs -Odds ratios and relative risks (b)Correlation and Linear Regression: Continuous Dependent and Independent Variables -Pearson's linear correlation coefficient -Spearman's correlation -Slope and intercept -Least squares method -Sources of variation (explained and unexplained) -Hypothesis tests (t- and F-statistics) -Omnibus null hypothesis vs. partial null hypothesis -Multiple coefficients of determination (R^2)

Great Tutor and he is receptive to each individual's needs
Dr. D covered the subject material. He is very knowledgeable and does a great job of explaining the basic fundamentals especially for Biostats. He then helps you use those fundamentals to solve much more complex equations and word problems. Would highly recommend him as a tutor.
