I have a Bachelor's degree in English, a Ph.D. in international relations, and a TEFL Professional Diploma Certificate on ESL Teaching and Grammar.
With six plus accumulated years of teaching experience, I taught students ranging from elementary school children to college-level students as well as adult learners. While most of my recent professional life focuses on consulting service practice, I remain strongly passionate for language learning and teaching, and always dream of going back to teaching. I recently earned a TEFL Professional Diploma Certificate. I have signed up for volunteer ESL tutoring at Literacy Council of Northern Virginia. As a native Chinese speaker and highly proficient bilingual professional, I am equally passionate for Chinese language teaching, whether for young children or professionals. I am motivated and easy to work with. One-on-one tutoring would provide a more effective way for me to assist/help learners.
I love teaching and helping learners of all ages, from young children to adults, improve their language skills; my lesson schedule is flexible. I have a Bachelor's degree in English, a Ph.D. in international relations, and a TEFL Professional Diploma Certificate on ESL Teaching and Grammar.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
