College of Charleston (History, Business Administration)
My love of teaching comes from a lifelong love of learning. As a magna cum laude graduate, I know that hard work, dedication, and the desire to continuously improve in school yields unparalleled results.
I specialize in tutoring history and geography, and have a proven track record of success in these fields. As a History Major, I graduated with a perfect 4.0 in the department, and earned recognition as the Charleston “Outstanding History Student of 2014.”
Furthermore, I scored a 5 on the AP World History exam and a 4 on the AP U.S. History Exam, and therefore know what it takes to succeed in these classes. My expertise in these fields have allowed me to excel at geography and the art of writing, thereby forming a broad range of skills essential to helping others master any subject in history or English.
I believe the key to assisting any student in these subjects is to challenge them to see the big picture and the overarching themes, and then aid them in understanding the minute details of each respective time period and region. I assign challenging homework, and provide periodic progress reports.
I hold myself to the same high standards that I hold for my students. I often ask for feedback, and will be more than willing to travel to whichever location is most convenient for the student.
I look forward to hearing from you. My love of teaching comes from a lifelong love of learning. As a magna cum laude graduate, I know that hard work, dedication, and the desire to continuously improve in school yields unparalleled results.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
