##### About Kevin

I have enjoyed it so that I have been teaching for 15 years and tutoring for 20 years. My professional degree is in architecture.

I am currently entering into my sixth year as a Prealgebra teacher. Teaching it through the years has helped me not only understand the content, but understand the topics students really need to know in order to be successful in Algebra I. I also have done some curriculum design around Prealgebra and know a couple different games and websites that assist with student understanding.

The first 10 years of my teaching career were spent working with elementary-aged children, ranging from Kindergarten to 6th grade. During my master's degree work, I specifically worked with kids in the 4th through 6th grades. At my current school, I started off as a math specialist working with Kindergarten and 4th grade, but have also assisted with students in 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade. I have been to various math workshops and have attended the Dana Hall five-day workshop for Kindergarten and middle school.

I have been playing trombone for the last 30 years. I am classically taught and have played in a wide variety of bands and orchestras. I have literally played all around the world. I still do currently play with a small orchestra and have tutored trombone students over the past 10 years.

Curious to see how all these very different experiences roll into one? Curious to see how math, music, and architecture have a perfect blend? Contact me to find out more.
