Hello, my name is Millie D. I’m a very friendly person, calm, dependable, and have lots of patience. I graduated from Park University with a master’s degree in healthcare services and administration and have taken graduate courses toward certification in applied behavioral analysis at George Mason University, which I’m still pursuing. I have taken several CLE classes focusing on ABA techniques and coaching, including numerous hours of video training on ABA techniques and attended several classes offered by one of the local schools for parents who want to learn ABA techniques. While studying ABA at George Mason University, I’m learning how to apply instructional approaches for individuals with Autism/Aspergers behavior and apply ABA techniques to perform analysis and provide progress reports relating to behavior, communication, fine motor and gross motor skills, and how to teach new behaviors and reinforce new positive skills. My goal is to become a licensed ABA therapist.
I enjoy learning and making a difference in the lives of others. I am interested in tutoring children with special needs to help them develop so they can live a dignified life. It would be a great benefit having the opportunity to help a child develop life skills, while improving academic and behavioral development. My tutoring consists of measuring progress on new developments and behavior and analyzing the success of how your child receives new information. However, if you want me to work on any specific behavior that will help you and your child as you go about your daily lives, please let me know and I will be happy to work on those specifics with your child.
I have worked part-time with individuals who were in the beginning stages of dementia, and when communicating with these individuals I applied some of the same ABA techniques with them that I learned while studying ABA. Key is avoiding stress and too much excitement.
I welcome the opportunity to tutor your child for positive learning outcomes. I am available to work weekends or on-call as needed. Hello, my name is Millie D.
