My name is Ms. Sharon, a certified teacher for NK-7th grades. I am a dedicated, focused, warm, and caring person who loves to teach. My interests include: language arts, math, public speaking, art, crafts, and even sewing and scrapbooking. I design my curriculum to fit the personalities of my students. Both younger and older students accomplish much through my tutoring strategies and become more confident with their new knowledge. For elementary aged children, with permission, I can collaborate with classroom teachers to make for smooth transitions between school and home (tutoring lessons). For adult learners, I work with reading skills, math, writing, and ESOL as well.

I have been teaching students for over 16 years. I am, currently, certified in NK through 7th grades.I have taught ESOL for two years in the evenings. Also, I designed a program through Toastmasters International and taught public speaking to elementary and high school students. At work, I am a certified speaker for museums.
I have taught handwriting every year that I have been teaching which has been over 15 years. Especially from NK-5th grades. I require all of my students to have legible handwriting and I do practice drills as well.
As a certified teacher, I have been teaching for over 16 years. My main emphasis is reading with phonics and writing with grammar. I use phonics with all reading lessons up to sixth grade and with adult learners in ESL who are just learning English.
I am a Toastmaster Area Governor. With Toastmasters, an organization that is known world-wide, we write, practice, speak, and evaluate countless speeches and are rewarded with trophies and pins for our efforts. You must be an adult to be a part of Toastmasters. I use those skills to develop programs for elementary through high school students using the same principles.
