About Kouassi

Dear Students and Friends,

It is my great pleasure to be given a chance to help you understand and exceed your expectation in subjects such as French, Chemistry (Organic, AP, Physical, Analytical, Inorganic), Physics, Math (Algebra I,II; ACT Math, SAT Math, Geometry and Trigonometry), and Science. I am a Ph.D. graduate in Chemistry, master's in Physics and Chemistry with a minor in Math. In the past I had the privilege to be a tutor for three high school students who, today, are a civil engineer, physics professor, and business administrator. I have industrial research and academic teaching experience that help me easily understand my students' needs.

Teaching and tutoring are fundamental to me as I will make it a two-way interaction to increase the students' esteem, confidence and positive beat for the future goals. With the internet, Twitter, and other means available today, I will make sure my students achieve their objectives. I will honor them in this regard by showing how we can balance hard and serious work with relaxed and amiable moments. All it will require is a strong conviction to take the first step and believe in winning. With me, the students deserve "A" in the beginning. All you have to do is work hard in maintaining these. Still, it will require mutual and civil respect, professionalism, hard work and partnership to achieve this goal.

I look forward to meeting each one of you for the challenge.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

French

I translated documents from French into English for my pharmaceutical companies in the past. I studied in French language until I obtained two masters in two different countries, including Canada.

I have communicated in French at home and with my son, tutored grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, prepositions and time concordances as well as literature.

French is my first "Official" or "Schooling" language and I am more than equipped to continue teaching, tutoring, mentoring it.

Organic Chemistry

As a Ph.D. graduate in Chemistry, I am more than expert in Organic Chemistry. I taught Organic Chemistry I and II laboratory works in college, graded pre-labs and post-labs works, recited lectures and mentored Chemist and non-Chemistry majors to understand the easy ways to tackle the subject. All these for more than seven years.

The subject in essentially about compounds made of carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen and phosphorus. The great focus lies on Organic Chemistry I (basic formation of compounds from these elements), Organic Chemistry II (Reaction mechanism), stoechiometry, functional groups and their properties, organic Spectroscopy (compounds behaviors vis-a-vis light and excitations from various sources), synthesis (techniques and conditions of making of compounds), their nomenclature and reaction mechanisms.

Physics

I can tutor High School Physics, College Physics, Mechanics, Vectors, Electricity, Magnetism, Kinematics, Dynamics, etc..

This physics tutoring will stretch from simple calculation of velocity to the basics of theory of relativity.

Very Knowledgeable and Dedicated — With a doctorate in chemistry, Kouassi has superior knowledge to share with his students. We were especially glad to hear he was most concerned that our son succeed in his chemistry studies by patiently going over basic concepts and then working through detailed practice examples. His technique of working a problem out on the board made things clear to our son who would have to demonstrate his un ...
