Hi!

I’ve been a college instructor for about 4.5 years, teaching adult learners a variety of subjects in a classroom setting. For about 6 years, I one-on-one tutored all ages from elementary-school children to adults. I also volunteer taught in ESL courses years ago. My favorite approach is to help you break down the topic/concept into more easily understood parts, then bring it all back together with you!

My educational background includes a Master Educator designation through Milady and I'm 3 credits away from the Advanced ME designation. I have a “Specialization in Anatomy and Physiology” through the University of Michigan. I have an A.S. degree in Business Administration, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. I'm also a licensed massage therapist, graduating with a 4.0, and taught the entire curriculum for several years. I’ve also completed many hours of continuing education courses (far above and beyond what’s required for license renewals) to both become a better instructor and to enjoy adding to my knowledge.

As you can see from my bio, I’m very familiar with being on both sides of the learning – as a teacher and also as a continually-learning student so I know how hard it can be! I feel that my best strength is taking complex and intimidating subjects and breaking them down for you into more easily understood concepts and language! Once you UNDERSTAND, you can RETAIN! I’m excited to help you meet your educational goals!

The nitty-gritty: Rate is $40/hour. I do only hour-long ONLINE sessions. We can do longer duration sessions if you wish but not less. I do have a cancellation policy – You can cancel with 12 or more hours’ notice. If there is less than 12 hours’ notice, you'll be charged the full price of the session.
