Hello! I recently completed my undergraduate degree at Georgetown University where I studied Government and Economics. In my approach to tutoring, I am always ready to break concepts down and simplify things in a way that would be easiest for students to comprehend. I am also patient in my teaching style, as I am prepared to repeat concepts until understood. I believe it is important to be as thorough as possible with my subjects, to ensure that students understand concepts rather than simply memorize solutions.
Math has always been my strong suit in my academics. I earned a 7 on my final IB Math exam, and I have taken higher-level Math courses throughout my university coursework. In my past algebra and statistics classes, I have been able to grasp a strong understanding of the concepts I learned, and I aim to support the students I tutor in achieving this as well. In addition to earning grades in the top 90th percentile in my past math classes, I also have 4 years of experience tutoring middle school and high school students one-on-one in SAT and IB Math for a couple of hours each week. When tutoring I use lesson plans to assure sessions are structured to effectively meet the needs and goals of the student.
Please feel free to message me to learn more about my qualifications and schedule a lesson in Statistics or Algebra. I am always open and responsive to feedback from students or parents, so do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns!
