About Tyler

I am an avid learner and I have a passion for helping others understand difficult ideas and concepts. I've coached competitive math teams and tutored students struggling with math. I've taught music lessons and led musical groups. I've helped friends understand novels, philosophical treatises, and paragraph-based standardized tests.

I earned a 35 on the ACT when I took it myself, and I was the runner-up in my regional math sterling-scholar competition. I also earned a score of 5 out of 5 on my AP Calculus exam.

I earned scores of 33 and 32 on my ACT Reading and English tests. I earned a score of 4 out of 5 on my AP Literature exam.

I'm very flexible and reliable, so please contact me if you or your children need personalized help in any subject.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Guitar

I have played guitar for 7 years in several different genres and schools of music.
I have taught many individuals how to play guitar and read guitar music.
I have written many songs on the guitar.
