Hi. I'm Conner. I have a bachelor's degree of science in Chemical Engineering. I'm currently working on my master's in Chemical Engineering and I do research for my department. Ever since middle school I have enjoyed math and science topics. I love to talk about them, I love to teach about them, and I love helping other people understand them.

Hi. I'm Conner. I have a bachelor's degree of science in Chemical Engineering. I'm currently working on my master's in Chemical Engineering and I do research for my department. Ever since middle school I have enjoyed math and science topics. I love to talk about them, I love to teach about them, and I love helping other people understand them.
I enjoy being more of a "guide" and less of an "information dump." I always dislike when professors play the "guess what I'm thinking" game while asking questions. When working on a specific problem, if the person already knows the necessary concepts, I try to ask leading questions, and give comments to nudge them in the right direction to help them come to the answers on their own. This gives them the opportunity to apply what they already know and feel satisfied that they figured it out. I am flexible with this, however, because it does not apply all the time, and does not work for every person. I am always willing to adapt and learn more. If I do not know something, I will find out.
I have been a teaching assistant for undergraduate chemical engineering. I also have informally tutored my younger family members in math and science (calculus, chemistry, physics) for their high school and college courses. I have helped them prepare for tests, AP tests, and on homework in general. I have also worked with my peers during after school hours on subjects that they have found confusing. My work as a TA involved working with undergraduate students in the class on technical writing and chemical engineering topics and applications (which includes mathematics), as well as offering feedback, evaluations, and grading. I worked with the students one-on-one to make sure that they understood topics.
I enjoy learning and improving, so I'm always open to suggestions and feedback. I have a fairly open schedule so I can respond quickly to messages. Feel free to get in touch any time!
