My approach to teaching/tutoring English is to take the mystery and guesswork out of literary analysis and writing by teaching the skills necessary to help students decode what they are doing. I like to take difficult concepts like "Finding Theme," and turning it into an equation. For example, the equation to finding theme might look like, "Protagonist + Internal Change = Theme". I try and make everything this clear to students.

I have had a lot of success in teaching students how to conduct academic research, to include finding and citing relevant sources. Additionally, in the past I have taught many study skills courses and help students with organization, using a planner and taking notes.

In the future, I plan on building lessons for ACT Prep courses.
If you need help in any of these areas, please contact me for some tutoring sessions!

My first year teaching was in 5th grade and I have children ages 15 to 5 and have helped them and continue to help them with their school work. Elementary school is an important time to lay a foundation of learning by ensuring that your student has a quiet place to do their homework and read, and to have new learning explained in a way that makes sense to him/her individually.

Batting

Again Jason does a great job at finding ways to improve the skills needed for success. My son has been struggling with batting. With the techniques that Jason has instilled into my son, you can already see it in his first few games. Thank you.

Jason does a great job with my son. He is patient. He understands how to find key points that you need to work on and how to apply it in the game. He is willing to come to you if needed. I highly recommend him for the needs of anyone needing the skills for batting. Thank you Jason.
