Hola! I am a native Spanish speaker with over 10 years of professional experience teaching and tutoring Spanish in the United States.
I focus on Fluency with my students!
In Chile, I taught English as a second language in various homes. Here in Dallas, TX, I give individual and small group Spanish and English classes to all of those who are interested in being bilingual. Spanish might seem difficult, but I assure you will have fun learning with me.
I have worked with students of all levels, including beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Trying to learn Spanish or want to practice your Spanish conversation skills? Need help with grammar or colloquial expressions? I can adjust my lesson plans to meet your individual or small group needs.
My lessons include grammar and vocabulary exercises, conversation practice and a significant cultural component to help you learn about the cultures and traditions of Spanish countries. I use my network of Spanish contacts and multimedia such as audio files, photos, video and presentations. I will make sure you enjoy the learning process and achieve the best results.
I have lived in Mexico, Costa Rica and South America Chile, where I have worked with and lived among several Spanish languages and cultures. Here is a sample: Mexicanos, Costarricenses, Chilenos, Bolivianos, Peruanos, Argentinos, Guatemaltecos, Ecuadorianos, and Uruguayos.

I just wanted to share with other parents out there that my son has since gone on to college, Northeastern University in Boston. Thanks to Mr. Ramiro he scored into the highest Spanish class they offer after almost failing Spanish in high school. I will forever be grateful to Mr. Ramiro for the patience, caring and sometimes tough love that he gave my son. The approach he used was lessons of everyday life not learning from a textbook and my son loved it! My son never complained about going to tutoring. You will always be remembered with such gratitude. Mucho gracias!
Due to my rigid work schedule, Ramiro has agreed to adjust his schedule to fit mine. I have a good vocabulary and understanding of the language but lack fluency. For the first time in my life, I am learning to speak Spanish. He is patient, supportive, and reinforces my learning. At times, he shares personal experiences, and I find that interesting and encouraging. I am a mental health counselor and I want to help Spanish people with their problems, and Ramiro has the knowledge, pastor's heart and personal empathy to help me to work well with my clients. Learning to converse in Spanish with Ramiro as my tutor is a positive experience. I highly recommend him.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Biblical studies, the academic discipline. I have a bachelors Degree in Ministry - The art of relating to people, motivating and growing with them - from William Jessup University in Roseville, CA.
Bible study (Christian), sometimes known as "Devotions" or "Quiet Time," is an essential part of the believer. As an athlete strengthens his core by exercise, so does a Christian strengthen his core value through Bible study, the reading and meditation of God word. This is called ex·e·ge·sis (eksi'jesis), a critical explanation or interpretation of a text, esp. of scripture.
Here in Texas, I co own and occasionally teach in English and Spanish in our pre-school. I have also taught several groups in church English for the last five years where most of the students are from Mexico, central and south America.

Photography |f?'tägr?fe| My dictionary says its "the art or practice of taking and processing photographs. Our Cameras as good as they are; are an archaic mechanical form of our natural eyes. By which we try to capture the beauty of life's most precious moments.
In my college years at the university of Texas, Brownsville, I did lots of film shooting and dark room developing both black and white and color;slides and color prints. I used back then and still do today a 35mm camera. I also owned some professional large format cameras.
Photography is the art, science and practice of creating durable images by recording light-sensitive material such as photographic film. We will learn about different films, speeds, shutter, aperture and depth of field.
In the Digital age and with the development of electronically image sensor "which is an electrical charge at each pixel; which is electronically processed and stored in a digital image file for subsequent display on an LCD for viewing or processing in computer programs like Photoshop, learning is never ending.
I continue to shoot with my original Cannon F1 cameras and lenses. My teenagers are now at a point in their lives that they are learning and loving the art of photography.
# 1 FEAR is Public Speaking
In public speaking, as in any form of communication, there are five basic elements, often expressed as "who is saying what to whom using what medium with what effects?" The purpose of public speaking can range from simply transmitting information, to motivating people to act, to simply telling a story.
Like many of you I was once a quiet and shy person who lacked self confidence and entertained lots of other peoples opinions, I'm still attentive to the works but read more closely their actions.
I began with talking about my art work in front of my ART class. Then talking to my Editor and chief of our year book in college to presenting facts and data to my engineering colleagues and their managers to working directly with Senior staff and owners of the companies I used to work for. Now as an Entrepreneur and owner of several businesses It is my Job to use public speaking to motivate encourage and change hearts into action via a story or an experience that causes people to think deeper and move them into action.
The more I got out to meet people and hear of their pain and struggles, the more I knew I had to do something to help them out. What I found is not that they lacked monies to do or get ahead they lacked "the ideas" to act upon to succeed. Public Speaking is the art of extracting information from your audience and encouraging them with mini steps or road maps to their destination of success. I have learned from the best and continue to learn more in Business and training seminars, by Donald Trump, Darren Hardy, Andy Andrews, Chris Widner and John C Maxwell.
I have spoken a few at school and at work; to a few hundred in south America and a few thousand in California and churches around the world. The # 2 Fear is Death, It's your choice.
I taught Spanish classes to many folks at our church in Melissa. We will take several field trips to learn more about the Spanish Cultures and interact with people from Mexico, Central and South American countries. I currently have some clients that I teach on a weekly schedule.
Even after years of teaching in Central, South America and the USA, I continue to be amazed of the transformations as I teach each new student practical ways Spanish made easy.
