Hello, I am currently a sophomore in college studying computer science. During high school, I tutored math -- specifically Algebra 2 and Precalculus. I was also a volunteer Sunday school teacher for 3rd graders throughout my senior year. Additionally, my younger brother Joseph is on the autism scale, so I have many years of experience dealing with disabilities and deescalation. I love learning, teaching, and helping others out, especially through various forms of knowledge! I finished 3rd of roughly 330 students in my high school class, so I am no stranger to straight A's!
I have completed the first two levels of calculus and currently have a large number of university level math classes scheduled for my degree pathway. I highly enjoy working with numbers and thinking logically.
Reading and writing has always been a passion and hobby of mine. English has consistently been my favorite subject due to the creativity it allows the student, in addition to the practical knowledge it gives students by presenting information in a fun and exciting way! Reading comprehension and grammar are enjoyable to me, as I love the attention to detail and full thought process which entails the subjects.
For some biographical information on myself, I am one of seven kids and number 6/7. My younger brother of five years has both physical and mental disabilities which has placed him in Special Ed. classrooms and IEPs. Joe has taught me patience, light-heartedness, and the ability to read body language beyond what a student physically presents. Younger students with disabilities will always have a special place in my heart.
