I taught a 9 week course on cooking and shopping skills. We shopped for the food so they learned price comparisons, weighing, shopping on a budget, and money skills. Then we returned to our facility and prepared the meal. Teaching measurements, food safety, kitchen tools, terms/definitions for cooking terms and tools etc. I did this for 13 years.
I used phonics learning skills for my students who were low functioning in Special Education. I have a lot of material on this subject. I taught 13 years as an Education Enhancement Specialist in Wasatch Valley.
I would easily be qualified to help an elementary student or special ed student to study on specific subjects due to my 13 years of teaching special education to 14-22 year old as the education enhancement specialist at Utah Independent Living Center.
