Bio

I am a 3rd year undergraduate Psychology student at the University of Utah. My interests include math, grammar, and cognitive skills such as problem solving, decision-making, memory, attention, sensation, and perception. I am a 3rd year undergraduate Psychology student at the University of Utah. My interests include math, grammar, and cognitive skills such as problem solving, decision-making, memory, attention, sensation, and perception. After I graduate, I plan on taking a break to gain more psychology experience and apply to graduate school in a couple of years. I have experience working with kids ranging from kindergarten to 6th grade as I worked as a tutor at Lincoln Elementary in Salt Lake from Sept. 2013 - April 2014. I tutored math, science, reading, and writing.

Aside from my academic interests provided above, my hobbies include playing the guitar, singing, cooking, baking, and hanging out with friends. I am currently a mentor through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah program, an office assistant at the University of Utah's College of Pharmacy (Department of Medicinal Chemistry), a research assistant in the University of Utah's Department of Psychology, and a mentor for a group of international students at the University of Utah.

I enjoy learning about human behavior, especially cognition. I am mostly interested in the cognitive area of psychology because it includes other psychology areas such as social and developmental psych, which I, too, find interesting.

As of right now, I want to get as much experience as I can interacting with people of different cultures and backgrounds and helping to improve cognitive abilities such as learning.
