Hello. I was a substitute teacher in all subjects and grades for 11 years. I was a long term sub for special ed, seventh grade (English), and third grade. Students may call me by my first name, which is Celeste. However, even if we have a less than formal relationship, I still expect respect from parents and students, and I will respect you as well. If we can establish these ground rules, you will find me fair, and hopefully even fun. Learning doesn't have to be boring. I am an excellent public speaker, I'm not afraid to try new things, and I am always learning. I have two bachelor's degrees and a master's. I do work full time, and plan on continuing to do so. But the teacher in me still wants to come out during my free time.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
