I've received a B.S. from Utah State University in physics, and an M.S. from the University of Utah in mechanical engineering. As a result, I have an excellent background in math, physics, and engineering, and also took classes in chemistry and linguistics.
While attending the College of Eastern Utah, I worked at Carbon High School for an after-school program helping students with homework. I worked in the Utah State University Writing Center as a consultant helping students with their papers, especially ESL students. At the U, I worked as part of the ME after-school outreach program, going to elementary and junior high schools in West Valley to teach kids about engineering through short 1-hour projects. I've also helped several friends and relatives with their math and science, and have often been told that I am able to explain things very well to people on a level that they understand.
I don't really like how math is taught in school. It's taught as algorithms and story problems, rather than a language that can be used to frame questions and find answers. Algorithms and step-by-step procedures are alright, but I like to try to convey the deeper meaning behind those steps and algorithms.

He has helped with physics and algebra and can explain things in a way that make me understand. My grades have improved greatly.
My daughter is taking Calculus online, so it was great to have someone to sit down and answer her questions face to face. Brady patiently worked through a variety of questions and took the time to explain concepts so she could understand them better.
My daughter has had two sessions and Brady has been great! He's concise, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. I highly recommend him!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I received a B.S. in physics from Utah State University. Many of my classes involved wave equations and differential equations. I also received an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah. My emphasis was in robotics, specifically dynamic systems modeling and control, which requires a knowledge of differential equations and Laplace transforms. Highest math class taken was Partial Differential Equations.
Received an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah, with an emphasis in dynamic system control. This included a class in state space controls, which utilized matrices, matrix multiplication, matrix inversion, determinants, rank, eigen values and eigenvectors, and similarity transformations. Also included a class on 3D computer vision using MatLab, where images were represented as a matrix of pixels, with each pixel having a 1x3 matrix of RGB values. The class also included Singular Value Decomposition, and 3D rotation matrices. My project for the class involved creating stereoscopic images of 4D objects, requiring a 4D rotational matrix, and matrices to project 4D objects down to 2 dimensions.
