In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I believe that understand our history is the way to plan for the future. I am able to make sure that the students know and can understand what is important about the American past and how it effects our present time.

I taught English to high schoolers. I have experience working with high school students on establishing a plan and a schedule for studying. I can help students gain important information from textbooks, and develop organization habits so assignments don't get lost or forgotten. Most of the students I have worked with are kinesthetic learners who needed to be doing something physical to learn the information. I incorporated these style by having them take notes, draw pictures, and come to the board to share their answers.
