Utah State University (English)
Hello! I've grown up with a passion for reading and writing. I was always the quiet girl in the back of the classroom that while quiet succeeded, and I became known as a resource for my peers in my English classes. They always cozied up to me when we had a project or essay due! I am currently a student at USU and am studying technical writing as a major.
Before starting my studies at USU, I lived abroad a year and spent ten months working with schools giving presentations about bullying, self esteem, abuse and other social issues. I gave these presentations in both Spanish and English and I also helped with English tutoring at an orphanage. I am not fluent in Spanish but am working on it and understand most of it! I currently volunteer in an afterschool reading tutoring program twice a week. I love working with the children and helping them realize their skill sets and potential. I believe anyone can be successful with time and practice.

I am hardly seen without a book or a notebook with me.
If you have any questions for me please feel free to contact me. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I look forward to working with you and helping you succeed! Hello! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
