I'm Jaden, and I am a first-year medical student at Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in biochemistry and received the Presidential scholarship for my academic performance in high school. Being a medical student with a degree in biochemistry, I have extensive education in the fields of biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, math, physics, and a smattering of other subjects. I graduated college with a 3.6 GPA and spent the first two and a half years on the Dean's List.

Leading up to my matriculation into medical school, I spent about a year studying for the MCAT. It is a grueling, 7.5-hour test that focuses on chemistry, physics, biology, biochemistry, psychology, sociology, critical analysis, and reasoning. This has given me a unique perspective in these fields, as I have an intimate understanding of how they all overlap and interact. Out of a perfect score of 528, I scored a 510, which is in the 84th percentile.

I volunteered for 2 years at a middle school tutoring children in 8th and 9th grade, mostly in math and chemistry, but occasionally would give help in geology, biology, and their general science class. I had 2 students who showed up regularly, but occasionally would get a group of 5 or 6 that came. My goal in tutoring you is more about teaching you how to learn and understand the content, so my focus is on study strategies to retain the information you are learning.

Many studies show that active recall is the most effective method of getting information to stick, so I like to utilize on practice problems a lot, so I can guide you on how to find the answers. That way, come test day, you can follow the same road map to the correct answer.

My first session is a 30-minute, free consultation to make sure I can meet your needs. I require a 24-hour cancellation notice. If the session is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, I charge a 50% cancellation fee. No shows will be charged the full price of the session. Shoot me a message with any questions!

MCAT,

MCAT

I am a current medical student at Noorda COM. I took the MCAT just over a year ago and scored a 510 on my first attempt, with a 126 on CARS. I managed to do this while juggling school full time, working full time, and planning a wedding. My main focus on tutoring on the MCAT is setting up a study plan that works best for you, followed by finding the areas that require more focus and coming up with a game plan to tackle them.
